DITA

DITA was born in New Delhi, a melting pot of different Indian cultures that developed her interest in eclecticism. Taking her multicultural interest to Indonesia, DITA started DJ-ing in 2014 when the diversity of Indonesian music culture pushed her to dig deeper with the founding of her collective, “Perky Club”. The movement encouraged her to explore what she loved as she shared her selections on dancefloors across Jakarta to Bali. Grown to be known for her contagious selections, she equips herself with a wide-range of influences, including Proto-House, 90s breaks, Balearic, Disco and beyond. Unfazed by conventions, DITA plays by her own rules, an authenticity that spreads contagiously amongst crowds.

Over the years, these influences have come together to forge a nuanced sound that has graced international stages such as Rainbow Disco Club, Wonderfruit Festival, Shi Fu Miz Festival and numerous shows across Australia. Having first emerged as a Resident at Potato Head Beach Club, she now leads the local roster at Desa Potato Head’s newly minted subterranean nightclub, Klymax Discotheque – where she now shares the booth with top-billed international headliners. Carrying her momentumacross the globe, DITA made her mark in Europe this summer, with standout debuts at Amsterdam’s very own Dekmantel 10 and Berlin’s Panorama Bar – consolidating her presence on a global scale. DITA strives to share her own and her people’s journey by carrying Indonesia’s music culture at the forefront as she expands her influence.
